“Waterfall Canyon”
All minutes deceased,
but you and I have fought the disease
and drought and the doubted ones
we’re all we’ve caught
spells bring us back together
darkness coalesces around us
to never touch the surface
because we’re tougher
than the front lawn
of infestations,
the leather jackets of infinity
we were never here
or so they’ll say
without ever really noticing
snowy paths through snowy forests
because of our commitment
because of all this life we’ve held before
in the troubled two-steps
in lands far away from each pulse
in troubled pasts
in forgotten futures.
